Pay per click & pay to read programs
November 29, 2005
Since the Internet has invaded homes the world over, everyone is running around trying to find ways to get rich quick, find extra income opportunities, and find ways to work from home. Many web surfers have begun looking into the option of pay to read and pay per click programs. These programs have become a big trend in recent years and many people are voicing their concerns as to whether or not they are legitimate and if they will lead to Internet profits.
Companies spend billions of dollars annually on advertising and have adopted “Pay to Read E-mail Programs” as a way to create a wining situation for themselves and the market they are targeting. These e-mail marketing programs pay members to read e-mails and many will also pay a commission on all e-mails read by people they refer to the program as well. Commission will vary with ever company, of course, being anywhere from a few cents up to five dollars. This is a very easy way to increase mailing lists.
All of this sounds wonderful; who wouldn’t want to get paid for sitting at home and reading for about 15 minutes a day? In actuality, these programs can be deceiving. They advertise as having no start-up costs and many will guarantee no more than X number of e-mails per day. However, when you begin signing up you will often find you are required to pay some sort of fee. Often these fees are not high; they can range anywhere from $5.00 to $100.00. This is where these programs get tricky because so many of them are a scam. They get your start-up fee and you will never hear from them again. There is no sure way to protect yourself from scams but it will help if you research the program and are informed before joining a program.
Pay per click programs are another form of advertising that is becoming very popular. Pay per click programs act as an income generator and are easy to set up and maintain and, they pay commissions even if visitors to your site do not make a purchase. Another plus about pay per click programs is that they target a very wide and general audience. One of the main advantages to pay per click programs is having the opportunity to have top placement rankings in search engines. This will greatly increase traffic to your site and hopefully result in sales for your business.
Even though pay per click programs are an excellent way of advertising they also have their disadvantages. Because they are so general, they may not be good if your site has a very targeted audience. Another thing that will hinder the productivity of pay per click programs is the fact that machines often search more than people.
While these can be good for your business, there are also a lot scams on the Internet in the form of pay per click and pay to read programs. Even though they are not all deceitful, they might not be exactly what your site needs. The only way you will know what you are getting into is to do a little research before signing up for a specific type of income generator, and sometimes just jumping in and taking a risk. While you may find a legitimate program and make a sizable income, be careful because you may get burned.
